Aleshia, I love the photo of you and your Aunt Dolly, beautiful. Hearing your voices draws me right in close. What a strong woman of faith she is.

Growing up in the Catholic Church I never hear of a morning bench, it feels powerful, and obviously was for your auntie.

I had a favorite Aunt Dolly! While she had different strengths your post brings back many memories of her. Thank you for this.

You're so welcome, Paulette. Also, I'm still reading your book. I was raised in four family flat, similar to you. Our experiences are so parallel that it's a little scary.
